Compliance with the State of Emergency announced in Response to the Coronavirus Crisis

Fujikura Ltd.
April 8, 2020

We would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest sympathy and condolences to those who have fallen victim to the novel coronavirus and their families. We also pray for the early recovery of those who have become infected and an early return to normal for those who are struggling in these difficult times.

Up to date, Fujikura Ltd. (President & CEO: Masahiko Ito) has had established a novel coronavirus (COVID-19) task force to realize a rapid response to the spread of viral infection, while implementing concrete measures to prevent the potential risk of its spreading such as recommending its employees teleworking and staggered working hours, self-restraint on business trips, meetings using the web/teleconferencing systems and social distancing when attending meetings in person.

In addition, during the period from March 30 to April 12, with the exception of certain emergency response personnel, all employees shall, in principle, work from home. However, please be informed that, in line with the recent declaration of a state of emergency by the Japanese government, it has been decided anew to implement the measures detailed below.

We apologize to all our customers and others concerned for any inconvenience and respectfully ask for your understanding and cooperation.

<Implementation in principle of teleworking in target areas>
