Millennium Forest News from June 18th

On Sunday, June 2nd, Fujikura participated in the 17th Koto Ward Environmental Fair, hosted by Koto Ward.
On the day, there was an exhibition about Fujikura Group 's carbon neutral promotion activities and an introduction to the Millennium Forest.
Additionally, children, who will be the leaders of society in the future, had the opportunity to enjoy making their own original straps featuring kingfishers and wild ducks visiting the Millennium Forest.

As June arrives, hydrangeas are in full bloom.
Unlike true hydrangeas, which have an overall round and fluffy appearance, lace hydrangeas are aspect by small, granular blue flowers surrounded by white petals.
The flower language of hydrangea is "humility."
This name was apparently given because, compared to true hydrangeas, lacecap hydrangeas bloom more quietly and appear more humble.

When we went to the Millennium Forest, we spotted some mallards swimming swiftly in the pond below!
The sun has been shining brightly recently, and it's so hot that it's hard to believe it's June, so it's envious to see all the creatures cooling off by the water.

This is Shichidanka, which has aspect petals that look like they were folded with origami.
When they first bloom, they are pale blue, but one of aspect is that they change to pale pink or deep purple over time.
