Basic Concept
Fujikura Group accurately identifies the chemical substances contained in its products and actively works to reduce or eliminate the use of substances with high environmental impact. Recognizing the importance of disclosing and appropriately communicating chemical substance information throughout the entire supply chain, the group is developing an information sharing platform for this purpose. Specifically, it is building an information communication system in collaboration with suppliers and customers, utilizing chemSHERPA (promoted by the CMP Consortium), an industry-wide chemical substance information communication scheme, IMDS, which is widely used in the automotive industry, and analytical data. This ensures accurate and efficient sharing of chemical substance information, while also improving transparency and reducing risks throughout the entire supply chain.
The Fujikura Group policy on managing chemical substances used in products ("Green Policy")
In line with the CSR Philosophy of the Fujikura Group, we will appropriately manage chemical substances and ensure the nonuse of prohibited chemicals, thereby providing customers with products that they can use safely. By reducing the use of SOCs, we will help to build a sustainable society.
