Stakeholder Engagement

Basic Concept

Fujikura has established a "Multi-stakeholder policy" to co-create value with a wide range of stakeholders and will proceed with the following initiatives.

Multi-stakeholder policy

In corporate management, we will work on appropriate collaboration with multiple stakeholder, based on the fact that value collaboration with a variety of stakeholder, including not only shareholders but also employees, business partners, customer, creditors, and local communities, is becoming important. In addition, we believe that giving back to employees and consideration to business partners is important from the perspective that appropriate distribution of profits and results generated by value collaboration and productivity improvement to multiple stakeholder will lead to maintaining the momentum of wage increases and sustainable economic development, and we will proceed with the following initiatives.

Notes

  1. Giving back to employees

We aim to achieve sustainable growth as "Fujikura, a company of technology" by focusing on maximizing added value through focused allocation of management resources to growth areas and initiatives to improve productivity through employee capacity development and skill improvement, etc. On that basis, we aim to give sustainable returns to our employees by raising wages in an appropriate manner based on the external environment and our own circumstances, and by actively working on education and training, etc.
    (Individual items)
Specifically, we will work to raise wages and provide fair treatment, taking into account the economic situation, price trends, market levels, our company's business situation, etc. Furthermore, based on the belief that investment in human resource is a priority for the company's sustainable growth, we will promote measures for education and training that will lead to the development and improvement of employee capabilities.

  2. Consideration for business partners

We will continue to work to comply with the contents of the Partnership Building Declaration.
If the Partnership Building Declaration is removed from the portal site, we will voluntarily withdraw the publication of our Multi-stakeholder policy.

In addition, with regard to business relationships with business exempt business from consumption tax, we will work to build appropriate relationships with them, referring to the government's approach to responding to the invoice system of tax-exempt and their business partners.

  3. Initiatives regarding other stakeholder

We will contribute to creating value for customer and to society through our "Tsunagu" technologies, and will also engage in ESG (environmental, social, and governance) activities with the aim of realizing a sustainable society.

We will continue to steadily work on these items while monitoring the progress of efforts.
