Rare earth high-temperature superconducting wires are expected to be applied and deployed in the energy field, medical, analytical, and industrial equipment as products that realize next-generation high-temperature superconducting devices that do not use liquid helium. Fujikura is actively engaged in the development of rare earth high-temperature superconducting wires and the development of mass production technology, achieving world-class performance. Recently, in order to achieve carbon neutrality, the development of fusion energy (fusion energy power generation) using high-temperature superconducting wires has been actively carried out, mainly in Europe and the United States. Fujikura products have received high praise from customers, and we will continue to promote initiatives to make high-temperature superconducting wires longer and lower costs, as well as focus on application development and technology development to realize a carbon-neutral society.
