Process to deciding on the Editorial Policy

The Fujikura Group began deliberating the creation of the new report by collecting information about the issues identified in the publication of the previous report, opinions of third-party experts, comments by stakeholders, and trends in the related guidelines. Subsequently, discussions were made at the meetings of the in-house editors, CSR experts and the CSR Committee composed of executives (Management Committee) to decide on the editorial policy for the new report. It took about six months for us to complete the process from information collection to deciding on the editorial policy.

Continuing efforts for the CSR Integrated Report

The Fujikura Group has been disclosing information to a range of stakeholders on various occasions and through a variety of media tools. Following the publication in 2013 of the first version of the International Integrated Reporting Framework as the guidelines for the new information disclosure method known as "integrated reporting," we decided to create a report in line with the Framework. We thus created the first Fujikura Group CSR Integrated Report in 2014, aiming to improve the reporting content compared with our previous CSR reports. It is our policy to disclose both financial and nonfinancial information in an intelligible manner in our CSR Integrated Report, including information about the activities we are conducting to make the creation of a sustainable society compatible with the achievement of sustainable growth as a company. This report is indeed made based on this Group policy, in which we report our activities conducted in fiscal 2014 and future perspectives in reference to the integrated reporting guidelines. We will continue to improve and enhance the content of our integrated reports for even clearer reporting, thereby meeting the expectations of society.
