Fukagawa Gatharia Winter Illumination
“Wings to the Future: Soaring into the Future with Light”
Fujikura Ltd. (Director, President and CEO: Naoki Okada) will hold the Fukagawa Gatharia Winter Illumination at Fukagawa Gatharia*1, a mixed-use complex owned and managed by Fujikura in Kiba, Koto-ku, Tokyo, from Thursday, November 5, 2026, to Sunday, February 14, 2027. Approximately 200,000 LEDs will illuminate the facility during the event.
This year’s illumination concept is “Wings to the Future: Soaring into the Future with Light.”
Approximately 200,000 LEDs depict birds of light taking flight from the “Flower of the Future,” which was also featured in last year’s illumination, and soaring toward a new future.
At the Center Plaza of Fukagawa Gatharia, a main tree approximately 10 meters tall will be adorned with around 24,000 LEDs.
Centered around the main tree, sparkling birds and flowing light displays will create a fantastical atmosphere throughout the facility. In addition to ever-changing light displays, visitors can enjoy an interactive feature that activates the illumination when they touch a box installed near the main tree.
Other attractions include decorations featuring birds’ tail feathers created with optical fiber, as well as a photo spot featuring the word “GATHARIA” made from natural materials. Visitors can discover different light displays as they walk through the facility.
The displays can be enjoyed as art during the day and as illumination at night.
The illumination will run from Thursday, November 5, 2026, through Sunday, February 14, 2027. The main tree will be illuminated through Friday, December 25, 2026.
Fujikura will continue to contribute to community development in harmony with the Fukagawa and Kiba areas, creating a place that is loved by local residents and businesspeople alike.

*1 Fukagawa Gatharia is a mixed-use complex that opened in 2003 following the redevelopment of Fujikura’s former Fukagawa factory site. In December 2025, a new four-story building, LEGARE, opened at the complex. Designed with a vision of preserving the culture and traditions of the local community while creating a new era, the complex includes office buildings, a large supermarket, a movie theater, restaurants, a fitness club, and other facilities. The name “Gatharia” is a coined word combining GATHER, AREA, and -IA, a suffix of Latin origin used in names of countries and regions, representing an area where people and things come together.
