Fujikura News September issue (No. 513) has been published.
Fujikura Group has published the September 2026 issue (No. 513) of its bimonthly newsletter, "Fujikura News." This issue introduces the group's products, technology development initiatives, cutting-edge research results, and various activities of Group companies. Based on the advanced technological capabilities cultivated as "Fujikura, a Technology Leader," Fujikura Group is working towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through "Tsunagu" technologies™.
The September 2026 issue (No. 513) features the following topics:
• Development of a pressure-sensitive sensor for robot hands that can detect force in a manner similar to a human fingertip, utilizing membrane technology cultivated over many years.
• Commercialization of a high-density modular optical patch panel that achieves both high density and improved scalability for data center applications, where optical fiber cabling demand is increasing due to generative AI and cloud services.
• Publication of research results on nanoscale three-dimensional fabrication technology, developed jointly with researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), in Nature Photonics, one of the world's leading scientific journals.
• Participation in Futurecom 2026, a telecommunications exhibition to be held in São Paulo, Brazil, including the exhibition of Fujikura optical fiber fusion splicers.
