Selected as a component of the global ESG investment index provided by FTSE Russell.
~Continued selection as one of the three leading ESG indices~
Fujikura Ltd. (Director, President and CEO: Naoki Okada) has been selected as a constituent of the "FTSE4Good Index Series," "FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index," and "FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index," which are designed by FTSE Russell, a global index provider*1 based in the UK.
This marks the fourth consecutive year of selection for the "FTSE4Good Index Series," the tenth consecutive year for the "FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index," and the fifth consecutive year for the "FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index."
The "FTSE4Good Index Series" is selected based on performance in areas such as corporate governance, health and safety, anti-corruption, and climate change, and is considered one of the important criteria investors use when making investment decisions.
Furthermore, the "FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index" and the "FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index" are indices adopted by Goverment Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), the world's largest institutional investor, as benchmarks for ESG investing.
In particular, the "FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index" aims to promote the transition to a low-carbon economy, and selects Japanese companies that have been highly rated in the ESG field, and whose efforts in responding to climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions have been recognized.
Driven by its core corporate DNA of "pioneering spirit" and "Fujikura, a Technology Leader," Fujikura Group will contribute to creating value for customer and solving social issues through its "Tsunagu" Technologies™" in order to achieve both a "highly digital society" and "carbon neutrality," as outlined in 2028 Mid-Term Plan.
