"Fujikura Gakuen Products Sale" was held at Kiba Head Office
~The origins of Fujikura Group social contribution activities, continuing for over 100 years~
Fujikura Ltd. (Director, President and CEO: Naoki Okada) held the "Fujikura Gakuen Product Sale Event" at the Kiba headquarters over two days, June 24 and 25, targeting Fujikura employee and others.
This product sales event is held twice a year in June and December as part of Fujikura Group 's CSR activities.
"Fujikura Gakuen" is a facility for intellectual handicapped person founded in 1919 by Harukichi Nakauchi, the younger brother of founder Zenpachi Fujikura, using his own funds, and serves as the origin of Fujikura Group 's social contribution activities.
At Oshima Fujikura Gakuen in Oshima Town, Tokyo, vocational training is conducted at the life care business 'Fuji Cafe' to promote residents' financial independence. Fujikura regularly holds snack sales events offered at the 'Fuji Cafe' to continuously support residents' financial independence.
At this sales event, eight young Fujikura employee collaborated to sales dishes such as Ashitaba pound cake, green chili pepper pound cake, and assortments of six types of cookies made with island specialties. The venue was bustling with many Fujikura employee, and both days sold out in about 20 minutes. Many Fujikura employee also cooperated with fundraising activities for the academy that were conducted at the same time.
Fujikura employee who participated in the sales event expressed their satisfaction with comments such as "I'm glad to be involved in social contribution activities" and "I hope these initiatives continue," while Fujikura employee who purchased products also expressed their happiness in "being able to support Fujikura Gakuen through their purchases."
Fujikura Group will continue to position support for Fujikura Gakuen as the foundation of its social contribution activities, continuing fundraising, sales events, and volunteer activities for Fujikura Gakuen.
