Sponsored the "Oshima Fujikura Gakuen Art Brut Exhibition"

Fujikura Ltd. (Director, President and CEO: Okada Naoki) will sponsor the "Oshima Fujikura Gakuen Art Brut Exhibition," which is being held in collaboration with the Fujikura Gakuen * social welfare corporation, which Fujikura supports, and the Kasama Nichido Museum of Art.
Art Brut is an art created by people who have not received specialized art education, but who follow their own impulses without being swayed by artistic trends.
For this exhibition, people with disabilities from Oshima Fujikura Gakuen on Izu Oshima Island created unique works of art based on the theme of "recycling," using unwanted items such as old newspapers, the backing of calendars, and cushioning material from parcels.
In recent years, art by handicapped person has gained greater social recognition through exhibitions at art museums and collaborations with companies, and is also attracting attention as an initiative to promote social participation by handicapped person and contribute to the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
