We will be sponsoring the Koto Cinema Festival again this year
Fujikura Group aims to achieve both a sustainable society and continuous corporate growth through people-friendly and environmentally friendly corporate activities. We also believe that respecting and cherishing the culture and customs of local communities is an important part of a company's corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Based on this understanding, Fujikura supports the aims of the Koto Cinema Festival, which is held annually in the Fukagawa district of Koto Ward, where its head office is located, and has been a continuous sponsor of the festival since its first event in 2007.
This year's 19th festival will have the theme "Respect Ozu," and will feature screenings of Ozu's works and those of directors who admire him, as well as talk events with a number of distinguished guests.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Showa era, and an exhibition titled "Ozu Yasujiro's Showa" will also be held. The venue will display a collection of film scripts and posters, looking back on the Showa era along with the footsteps of director Ozu.
