press release
"Blooming the Future - Let's make the future bloom" illuminations start at "Fukagawa Gatharia"
Fujikura Ltd. (Director, President and CEO: Naoki Okada) will be lighting up its Christmas illuminations this year.
The illuminations will be held at Fukagawa Gatharia (Kiba, Koto Ward, Tokyo)*1,which is owned and managed by Fujikura.
The illumination "Blooming the Future - Let's make the future bloom" uses light to express the process of "new buds growing at the end of blooming flowers, leading to the next flower blooming."
At the Center Plaza of Fukagawa Gatharia, a 10m-tall main tree illuminated with 20,000 LED bulbs welcomes visitors. Graphical light displays are put on at the top of the hour, such as at 6pm and 7pm, adding a touch of color to the winter season.
With the opening of the new LEGARE building at Fukagawa Gatharia, the entire site is now connected like a single garden. To allow visitors to enjoy a fantastical sight, the entire venue is covered in approximately 200,000 LEDs, and more features have been added to bring smiles to visitors' faces, such as a colorful flower arch photo spot.
The lighting period will be from Tuesday, November 4th to Thursday, December 25th, and some of the illuminations will be on until Valentine's Day, Saturday, February 14th next year.
Fukagawa Gatharia is an urban regeneration space redeveloped by Fujikura with the concept of "establishing a new identity for the Fukagawa and Kiba area."
Fujikura will continue to coexist with the downtown area's surrounding environment and work to create a town that is loved by local residents and business people.

*1 "Fukagawa Gatharia" is a complex that opened in 2003 after the redevelopment of the former Fukagawa factory site owned by Fujikura, and a new four-story building called "LEGARE" was opened in December last year. With a view to preserving the culture and traditions of the downtown area and creating a new era, it is an integrated facility that includes an office building, a large supermarket, a movie theater, a restaurant area, a fitness club, and more. Gatharia is a coined word made up of "GATHER" (gathering) + "AREA" + "IA" (a suffix derived from the Latin word for country or region), and represents an area where people and things gather.
