March 13, 2025
Fujikura Ltd.

Fujikura Ltd. (Director, President and CEO: Okada Naoki) has been recognized as a corporation that considers Fujikura employee health management from a management perspective and takes a strategy approach to it by being recognized as a "2025 Health and Productivity Management Excellent Corporation (Large Corporation unit)" for the second consecutive year by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Japan Health Conference *.

The Health and Productivity Management Excellent Corporation Certification System is a public system that certifies and honors large and small companies that are excellent in their efforts to promote health and productivity management. It was established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2016 in order to create an environment in which companies that are excellent in their efforts to promote health and productivity management can be recognized by employees, job seekers, related companies, financial institutions, etc.
The Nippon Kenko Kaigi will review applications from companies and other organizations based on the evaluation criteria established by the Health Investment Working Group of the Health and Medical New Industry Council (jointly held by the Nippon Kenko Kaigi Health and Productivity Management 500 Companies Working Group and the 10,000 SMEs Health Declaration Working Group). Based on this, the Nippon Kenko Kaigi will certify companies as "Excellent Health and Productivity Management Organizations."

Based on the belief that a company's competitiveness is based on the good health of its Fujikura employee, the Group recognizes that Fujikura employee health is an important management resource in order to remain a company that is needed by society.

To this end, we aim to be "a corporate group where Fujikura employee can work with enthusiasm" and are taking the following steps to promote mental and physical revitalization and health.

1. Strengthening the foundation for health management
In order to create a workplace where Fujikura employee can work healthily and with peace of mind, and to support diverse working styles, we are focusing on strengthening the "foundation" for promoting health management, such as establishing various health-related regulation, measures against excessive work, creating an environment where Fujikura employee can seek advice when they are troubled, and supporting employees' return to work.

2. Promoting Fujikura employee health
We are working to improve health literacy in order to raise Fujikura employee health awareness and prevent disease. As support measures, we are implementing e-learning and seminars, publicizing consultation desks, and posting information on our website, with particular emphasis on women's health, strengthening stress resistance, and measures against sarcopenia (fall prevention).
Furthermore, we are proactively working on activities aimed at promoting the health of Fujikura employee, such as holding "Fujikura Stretch Exercises" and "Safety Exercises" every day after lunch, and providing healthy menus in Fujikura employee cafeterias and lunch boxes.
Additionally, we work with health insurance associations to provide cancer screenings, specific health guidance, influenza vaccinations, and step-counting events using health promotion apps, and we are focusing on "collaborative health."

3. Measures to prevent passive smoking
From the perspective of maintaining and improving the health of Fujikura employee and of our social responsibility to protect the environment, we have established policy to prevent passive smoking and have made our entire premises smoke-free.
For smokers, we also provide smoking cessation guidance and referrals to online smoking cessation clinics subsidized by health insurance.

4. Improving the work environment using group analysis results of stress checks
The results of the group stress check analysis are explained individually to the heads of unit and division by the industrial health staff. At that time, current problems are identified, and efforts are made to improve the working environment by holding interviews with all employees as necessary.
