New building "LEGARE" opens at Fukagawa Gatharia ~ Kiba area becomes even more convenient ~

Fukagawa Gatharia *1, owned and managed by Fujikura Ltd. (Director, President and CEO: Okada Naoki), will open a new building, "LEGARE *2," on December 1st.
The facility will be four stories tall, with the first floor opening first and featuring restaurants, retail stores, and service providers to support the diverse lifestyles of business people and local residents.
The business area will continue to expand on each floor, and tenants providing medical care and other services are scheduled to open on the third and fourth floors in spring 2025.

Fukagawa Gatharia is an urban revitalization space that we redeveloped with the concept of "establishing a new identity for the Fukagawa and Kiba area."
We will continue to work to create a town that continues to be loved and familiar to everyone, while coexisting with the surrounding downtown environment.
*1 Fukagawa Gatharia
This complex opened in 2003 after redeveloping the former site of Fujikura's Fukagawa factory. It is an integrated facility with office buildings, a large supermarket, a movie theater, a restaurant area, a fitness club, and more, with a view to inheriting the culture and traditions of the downtown area and creating a new era. Gatharia is a coined word made up of GATHER (gathering) + AREA (area) + IA (a suffix derived from the Latin word for a country or region), and represents an area where people and things gather.

The name means "connect, tie" in Italian. It is a play on our company's core technology, "Tsunagu" technology." By incorporating various technologies that improve energy-saving performance, we have obtained the highest five-star rating in the Building Energy-efficiency Labeling System (BELS).
