Fujikura Ltd. (Director, President and CEO: Okada Naoki) has begun sales the "One-Click ® Cleaner MPO ESD," a cleaner for multi-fiber optical connectors.
The One-Click ® Cleaner series is our original cleaner for optical connectors that can clean grease and dust adhering to the end face of the ferrule *1 of the optical connector with just one click. We have now added a new product with anti-static measures to our Lineup (名).

～Product strong point / feature～
- Highly conductive resin is used in the cleaner body to quickly dissipate static electricity.
- Suppresses static electricity generated on the ferrule end surface during cleaning, reducing the risk of dust re-adhering.
- Can be used in static electricity protected areas. Compliant with the international static electricity standard IEC61340-5-1 *2.
The "One-Click ® Cleaner MPO ESD" is a cleaner for cleaning MPO optical connectors that has a function to prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD). It is the first product for optical connector cleaners that complies with IEC 61340-5-1.
This product suppresses the electrostatic charge that occurs on the end face of the optical connector due to cleaning and the movement of dust caused by the electrostatic charge, making it ideal for use with optical transceivers that are sensitive to static electricity, in static electricity protected areas, and in locations where high precision connections are required.
As the demand for generative AI increases and data center are being constructed at a rapid pace around the world, we will continue to contribute to improving the workability of optical fiber construction and building high-quality optical fiber networks.

*1 Ferrule
The name of the connecting part for Optcal Fiber inside an optical connector. Even tiny particles of dirt invisible to the naked eye can affect transmission characteristics, so the ferrule end face must be cleaned with an optical connector cleaner before connection.
*2 IEC 61340-5-1
An international standard for the management of static electricity. It requires a surface resistance value of 1 x 1012 Ω or less, and aims to reduce the effects of static electricity on manufacturing products such as electronic components.
