In the March 2024 issue (No. 496) published on March 11,
・A new dedicated Optcal Fiber cutter has been added to the FAST® optical connector, which allows Optcal Fiber to be installed on-site. Introducing the "Fail-Safe Cutter" that uses an abrasive blade to improve quality and ease of use when cutting fibers.
・Our 60 GHz millimeter wave wireless communication module was used in a demonstration of construction equipment at the "Remote Construction Demonstration" hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, demonstrating its effectiveness as a wireless backhaul for a local 5G communication system.
- Joint demonstration experiment conducted with NTT East's "IOWN Lab" to demonstrate low-latency, large-capacity video transmission by combining an all-photonics network with millimeter wave technology
- About the development of a new laminated cold plate that efficiently cools next-generation CPUs/GPUs and contributes to solving heat generation issues in high performance computing (HPC) and hyperscale data center (HSDC)
- Fujikura Dia Cable has developed a water-resistant, high-voltage, fire-resistant cable that is resistant to water and various environments and has excellent fire resistance.
