Fujikura Ltd.

Fujikura Ltd. (Director, President and CEO Naoki Okada) will be setting up Christmas illuminations again this year. The illuminations will be held at Fukagawa Gatharia (Kiba, Koto-ku, Tokyo), a redeveloped site of the former Fukagawa factory owned by Fujikura. *1 This year's illuminations will feature a "Forest Shining on a Snowy Night."

The concept of this year's Christmas illuminations is "A Forest Shining on a Snowy Night." Approximately 30,000 LED bulbs will decorate Fukagawa Gatharia, creating a spectacle that looks like sparkling diamond dust in the moonlight.
A shining forest approximately 7 meters high will be installed in the center plaza of Fukagawa Gatharia, where people come and go. The white-based illuminated space evokes the image of a bright future.
The illuminations will be on from November 1st to December 25th, with some illuminations scheduled to continue until Valentine's Day on February 14th next year.
Please note that the lighting ceremony will not be held in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"Fukagawa Gatharia" is an urban revitalization space redeveloped by Fujikura with the concept of "establishing a new identity for the Fukagawa and Kiba area." While coexisting with the surrounding downtown environment, Fujikura will continue to promote urban development that is loved by local residents and business people.

*1 About Fukagawa Gatharia
This complex was completed in 2010 after the redevelopment of the former Fukagawa factory site owned by Fujikura. With a view to preserving the culture and traditions of the downtown area and ushering in a new era, it is an integrated facility that brings together office buildings, a large supermarket, a movie theater, a restaurant area, a fitness club, and more. Gatharia is a coined word made up of GATHER (to gather), AREA, and IA (a suffix derived from the Latin word for country or region), and represents an area where people and things gather.
