"Fujikura News" is a "Tsunagu" newsletter that covers Fujikura Group 's product and technological developments and advanced research results, as well as various activities of group companies, with a focus on "connecting" technologies, with the aim of solving social issues defined in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The September 2022 issue (No. 485), published on September 12, covers product-related topics including the adoption of Wrapping Tube Cable (WTC) for the new 5G communications network of the London Underground in the UK and the start of deliveries to BAI Communications, the successful demonstration of a safe driving support system in Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture, using wireless connection between utility poles via a 60 GHz millimeter wave communication device, and the development of 3D membrane switch technology that integrates electronic circuits and plastic parts.
In addition, we have launched a special website for WTC® (Wrapping Tube Cable®) Wrapping Tube Cable (WTC) equipped with SWR® (Spider Web Ribbon®), an intermittently adhesive Optcal Fiber core that is used in data center and FTTx/5G infrastructure. We are also introducing the next-generation ultra-small form factor MDC duplex optical connector and MMC multi-fiber optical connector that are application to this SWR®/WTC®.
