Regarding establishment of a special leave system for workplace vaccinations for COVID-19 vaccines and vaccinations

Fujikura Ltd. (Director, President and CEO Masahiko Ito) will begin administering COVID-19 vaccines at its workplaces as soon as preparations are complete, in line with the government's announced policy regarding workplace COVID-19 vaccine vaccinations. In addition, we would like to inform you that we have established a special leave system for vaccinations.
● Regarding workplace vaccinations for COVID-19 vaccines
- Expected start date: As soon as preparations are complete (mid-August)
- Vaccination site: Sakura business (Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture)
- Eligible recipients: Employees of the Sakura business (employees of the Company, its Group, and its partner companies) and employees of the Head Office who live in Chiba Prefecture (employees of the Company, its Group, and its partner companies).
Those who wish to be vaccinated
● Special leave system for vaccinations
- Vaccination date: One day of special leave (paid) will be given for each vaccination.
- If you become defect due to an adverse reaction after receiving the vaccine: You will be given up to 5 days of special leave (paid) for each vaccination to recuperate.
Currently, there is a need to accelerate vaccination in order to curb the spread of COVID-19. Our company will provide a workplace environment where employees can work with peace of mind by implementing workplace vaccinations and establishment a special leave system, and will cooperate to contribute even a little to reducing the burden on those working on the front lines, including medical professionals and government officials.
