Received the Excellence Award at the Ministry of the Environment's "Environmental Human Resource Development Company Awards 2020" (awarding companies that are leading the way in environmental human resource development)

Fujikura Ltd. (Director, President and CEO Masahiko Ito) is pleased to announce that for the first time, the company has received the Excellence Award (large company category) at the 2020 Environmental Human Resource Development Company Awards, sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment and the Environmental Human Resource Development Consortium (EcoLeaD).
The "2020 Environmental Human Resources Development Company Awards" are based on the Act on the Promotion of Environmental Conservation Efforts through Environmental Education, etc. and recognize companies that develop and produce human resources who will lead environmentally conscious corporate activities and support those activities.
Our company received this award in recognition of our environmentally friendly production activities, Fujikura employee training and other comprehensive initiatives, as well as our collaboration with local communities and governments, as exemplified by our biodiversity initiative "Fujikura-Kiba Millennium Woods."
We will use this award as an opportunity to further advance our environmental initiatives and continue our activities to reduce the environmental impact in order to realize Fujikura Group Long-Term Environmental Vision 2050.
