"Fujikura News" is a bimonthly newsletter that covers Fujikura Group 's product and technological developments and advanced research results, as well as various activities of group companies, with the theme of "Tsunagu" technology, aiming to solve social issues defined in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Starting with the May 2021 issue (No. 476) published today, the page design has been renewed and a new column has been added that specifically introduces how each topic contributes to the realization of the SDGs.

This issue covers product-related topics such as the successful high-speed communications experiment using a 60 GHz millimeter-wave wireless module developed by our company in a demonstration project to support safe driving of route buses conducted jointly by six companies including our company in March; the addition of a 3000-fiber optical cable equipped with our proprietary ^SWRⓇ technology to our product lineup and the start of sales; and the development of a connector for smartphones and mobile devices that is both compact and strong.
In addition, the website also includes information regarding the exhibit of our heatstroke prevention IoT solution at the Extreme Heat Countermeasures Expo, an exhibition proposing measures to prevent heatstroke, an issue that has become increasingly serious in recent years.
