In June, 2016, Fujikura Cube Ltd. (President: Hiroyuki Mizuno), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fujikura Ltd. (President & CEO: Masahiko Ito), was designated as a special subsidiary company in accordance with the Law for Employment Promotion, etc., of the Disabled. On June 14, a certificate ceremony was held at Kiba Public Employment Security Office (Koto-ku, Tokyo), and Mr. Hiroyuki Mizuno, President of Fujikura Cube Ltd., among others received a certificate.

In November, 2015, Fujikura Cube Ltd. was established and in April, 2016, it started its operation with approximately 10 employees including five people with disabilities at Sakura Works (Sakura-shi, Chiba) and engages in various works including greening of the factory, environmental protection, cleaning, sending out and digitizing of documents. In the future, it will increase the number of its employees with disabilities.
