Image Fiber

Fujikura's image fiber is silica based coherent image fiber. Numbers of silica cores are together with melted silica cladding, which composes a multi-core optical fiber. Fujikura provides different types of fibers with good optical transmission characteristics for the wavelength of VIS, UV or NIR region. Those fibers are mainly used for the image transmission of fiber scopes and optical sensing applications.

* Coating material of standard products is silicone resin. Please contact us for the inquiries about acrylate resin and polyimide resin coating.

  • Endoscopes for medical use
  • Endoscopes for industrial use (especially in harsh environment such as high/low temperature, high pressure, high vacuum and high-dose radiation)
  • Laser scanning device.
  • Optical sensing device, etc.
