Large Core Fiber

These fiber have an extremely large core compared with the optical fiber for tele-communication. A high density photo energy conversion is enabled. The transmission characteristics is excellent from Deep UV to Near IR. These fiber is used for fields of laser or sensor.

Features

  • Jacketed fiber

    The structure has
    Center: Silica glass optical fiber
    Primary coating: Silicon resin
    Secondary coating: Polyamide, FEP, PFA or ETFE etc.

  • Corded

    The structure has
    Center: Jacketed fiber
    Reinforcement: Aramid Yarn
    Outer coating: PVC.

  • PI Fiber

    The structure has
    Center: Silica glass optical fiber
    Coating: Polyimide coating.

  • Users can select from the following types of Optical Fiber

    Type Ⅰ : SI (High OH Core)
    Useful for UV and UV-VIS applications
    Type Ⅱ : SI (Low-OH Core)
    Useful for VIS-NIR applications
    Type Ⅲ : GI Type
    Useful for VIS-NIR applications

  • Fujkura specializes in designing custom optical fiber with most suitable material and core/cladding ratio.

  • S series : SI (High OH Core)

  • SB series : SI (Low-OH Core)

    Useful for VIS-NIR applications
