Establishment of a new company in Indonesia

3 July 2013

Fujikura Ltd. (Yoichi Nagahama, President & CEO) established PT. Fujikura Indonesia, a new company in Indonesia, to expand businesses in the infrastructure.

In order to execute the acceleration of global business expansion which is one of our growth strategies in the 2015 Mid-term business plan, the company sets out to expand infrastructure businesses in high-potential oversea regions such as South-East Asia and South America. The company targets Indonesia and Brazil out of those regions and puts corporate resources to those countries. The company established a manufacturing & sales subsidiary in Indonesia in the wake of winning a supplier position in the investment related to FTTH by the local telecommunication carrier.

Further high growth is expected in Indonesia through many ongoing development projects to construct infrastructures such as Electricity, Telecommunications, Water, Railways, Seaports and Airports. The company will contribute to nation-building in Indonesia by using technologies and experiences which the company have been cultivating through nation-building of Japan.
