2015 Medium-term Management Plan results and the formulation of the 2020 Medium-term Management Plan

2015 Medium-term Management Plan results

With our Group's 2015 Medium-Term Management Plan (“2015 MT”) and its slogan of ”2015 MT: change, and change together,” we accomplished management operations for the realization of a corporate group both appreciated by customers and commended by society, aiming to become a profitable company as a result. However, the first year of the plan bore witness to the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami as well as unprecedented flooding in Thailand. These two disasters caused considerable damage and hugely impacted the Group's business. Still, we were able to fully recover thanks to the support of the many parties with ties to the Group, in particular our customers. As a result, we were able to fulfill 80 to 90% of our 2015 MT goals.

Start of the 2020 Medium-term Management Plan

Inheriting the fundamental policies of the previous 2015 MT, the Fujikura Group 2020 Medium-Term Management Plan aims to further strengthen profitability and renewal capacity, to reinforce our responses in the domains of the environment, society, and governance, and to continue to grow and enhance our corporate value.
