Since its inception in 1885, Fujikura has accumulated advanced technologies through the research, development and manufacturing of wires and cables. Based on those technologies, we have been delivering highly reliable products to customers in the four business segments of telecommunications, energy, electronics and automotive components, thereby contributing to the development of countries and regions as well as Japan.
Due to spread of globalization, shift to a low-carbon and to energy-efficient society, aging society and birthrate declining which developed countries face, the business environment around us is changing drastically. In such dramatic environmental changes, the Fujikura Group has been working on changing to the corporate culture matching to new age based on new corporate philosophy since 2005. Based on that new corporate culture, we have started a new group strategy- "the 2015 Mid-Term Business Plan"
This Mid-Term Business Plan aims that the change which is strongly committed by every employee will eventually change the entire Fujikura Group as well as Fujikura itself. Beyond the goal of this Mid-Term business plan as a milestone passed through, we will work on the group-wide challenges such as “gaining higher profitability", "ceaseless development of new technologies and products", "shifting the management resources through selection and concentration", and "enhancement of craftsmanship in monozukuri (manufacturing)".
We, the Fujikura Group will fulfill its social responsibilities as a corporate group that is friendly to both people and the global environment, and will create new era as "a trustworthy corporate group = Fujikura group" that has many smiles of thanks from society through providing products.
