No.1 share in the world
The story of the development of the de facto standard "Optcal Fiber fusion splicer"

Phase 4
Towards becoming the world's No. 1 market share
The single-fiber fusion splicer continued to evolve while inheriting the concept of the "FSM-20," and the compact 12-fiber mass fusion splicer went on to take the global market by storm.
The "FSM-20" was recognized as a world-class model and was put into mass production. Since then, the technology has continued to evolve and the model has been changed repeatedly, leading to the development of five successor models, and the internationally accepted design has been refined. A special function has also been added, which automatically adjusts to changes in air pressure due to climatic conditions by incorporating a pressure sensor. Furthermore, the mass production line, which maximizes cost performance, has continued to be improved, and the level of perfection has been raised to the point where it can literally be called the de facto standard.
The catalyst for Fujikura's dominance in the market was the development of a compact 12-fiber mass fusion splicer, which was particularly well received by US telephone companies and helped the company secure the majority of contracts in the US market.
