Mariana Trench Romance
Cable development for the 10,000m-class unmanned exploration vehicle "Kaikou"

Phase 5
And towards the future
While passing on the technological assets gained from all projects to future generations...
The deep-sea unmanned exploration vehicle "KAIKO" subsequently collected a variety of valuable exploration data in unknown territories, such as being the first in the world to collect bacteria from depths of over 10,000m, making a great contribution to human wisdom.
The world's electricity situation is now driven by the concept of a "network." The ideal is to go beyond the level of domestic electricity demand and to exchange and stably share electricity through a global network! In order to realize this ideal, we must realize an "interconnection concept" using undersea cables (as well as overhead electric wires and underground power cables, etc.) to connect continents and countries.
Fujikura will continue to pass on the technological assets gained from all projects to the future, and will continue to draw up "scenarios" for utilizing them globally...
