Compliance with the State of Emergency Announced in Response to the Coronavirus Crisis (2nd Notice)

We would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest sympathy and condolences to those who have fallen victim to the novel coronavirus and their families. We also pray for the early recovery of those who have become infected and an early return to normal for those who are struggling in these difficult times.

In the notice entitled Compliance with the State of Emergency Announced in Response to the Coronavirus Crisis on April 8, 2020, Fujikura Ltd. (President & CEO: Masahiko Ito) announced the general principle that all employees will work from home as a measure to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. However, the Japanese government extended the state of emergency declaration to cover the entire county on April 16. This notice was issued to inform stakeholders that, in conjunction with the specification of designated hotspots, Fujikura locations subject to compliance with emergency measures changed from “Fujikura locations in seven prefectures” to “Fujikura locations in prefectures designated as hotspots.”

 Target locations: Fujikura locations in prefectures designated as hotspots

 Response Measures: All employees shall work from home, in principle.
  * Calls from outside will be automatically transferred to the mobile and the other telephones of the employees concerned.
  * Meetings with customers and others outside of the company will be held via Web conferencing or conference call systems.
  * Fujikura locations in areas that are not designated hotspots will also conform to the response measures listed above.
  * Production lines at each of the works in Japan will continue to operate with top priority given to ensuring the safety and health of personnel.

 Period: Until May 6 (Wed), 2020

 During this state of emergency, the “Headquarters switchboard number (03-5606-1030)” will be suspended and enquiries handled only by “enquiry forms.”
