On February 21, 2017, Fujikura Ltd. (President and CEO: Masahiko Ito) was certified as an Excellent Enterprise of Health and Productivity Management―White 500 by Nippon Kenko Kaigi. The certification system was introduced by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

The certification system is to honor companies that practice excellent health and productivity management strategically from a management point of view. In the first year that the certification was introduced, 235 leading companies including Fujikura were certified as Excellent Enterprises of Health and Productivity Management this year.

With a view that "corporate competitiveness is based on its employees' good health conditions", the Fujikura group has been actively promoting health and enhancing vitalization of body and mind. We consider employees' health as a key management issue to continue to function as a company required by society, and aim to be an organization where employees work lively and vigorously.

In 2011, "Healthcare Solution Group" was established as a special organization for health management. Utilizing IT technologies and other methods, the employees health data was unified. Based on this, an advanced health promotion program has been developed internally to support individual health activities among employees. The new group has also been actively working in the area of improving the environment and visualizing health conditions using various methods including providing pedometers to employees and setting up body composition scales and blood pressure monitors at each work site.

On January 1, 2014, Fujikura Group Health Management Declaration was released, and the health promotion program was expanded to the Fujikura group. We aim at realizing health management in all group companies.

Taking the opportunity of the certification of "an Excellent Enterprise of Health and Productivity Management―White 500", we will take further steps in implementing health management. We will connect employees and their families' health to help improving corporate competitiveness and become a company which offers higher values to society.
