Leading the world in developing 5% copper clad aluminum wire

Copper clad aluminum wire (hereafter abbreviated "CA wire") is a conductor which combines the respective advantages of copper and aluminum by uniformly coating the outside of an aluminum conductor with copper. Although the cross-sectional area ratio of copper was 15% in previous products, Fujikura has now led the world in developing CA wire with a cross-sectional area ratio of 5%. This wire will meet needs for copper wire weight reduction in the automobile, appliance and communications industries, and is expected to also find application in areas such as wire harnesses, magnet wire and coaxial cable. This new product has the following features.
Features
*47% lighter than copper wire
*Can be soldered just like copper wire
*Ensures the same connection reliability as copper wire
